Nic, Academic Tutor
Nic worked full time in secondary education for 14 years as a teacher, head of department and senior leader at various schools throughout West Sussex. He is passionate about education and helping children and young people achieve their potential. Nic continues to work in schools part time, enjoying the flexibility of working in schools alongside tutoring, allowing him to spend more time with his family.
Nic trained in Cambridgeshire as a geography teacher and is also experienced in teaching Maths and English to GCSE level. He also tutors children in KS2 and is expert in preparing students for SATs and for the transition to secondary school.
Nic’s tutoring style blends high standards with patience and understanding. Personalising each session to the needs of the individual is the key to making excellent progress and Nic is an expert in facilitating his students to achieve their goals.
Nic’s interests include running and cycling, film, cooking and drawing. He has two children and dreams one day of welcoming a Hungarian Vizsla to the family.
