Marita, Academic Tutor
Marita has been teaching for over 20 years, in both the independent and state sectors. The majority of her teaching career has been within the independent sector, teaching primary aged children across KS1 and KS2. Marita also has experience in teaching secondary aged pupils from Year 7 through to Year 13.
As well as over 13 years’ experience as head of a school’s computing department, more recently she has successfully implemented STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) as a subject in her current school.
Marita’s energy and enthusiasm is most evident in the classroom; with previous experience as a head of year she is able to nurture the children in her care. Marita allows children to develop their confidence with an “I can, I can, I know I can” attitude, encourating them to be successful and confident. She has a keen interest in mental and physical wellbeing and incorporates this within her teaching.
Marita is married and has four children. She enjoys running, swimming, taking her dog for a walk and loves nothing more than having fun on waterslides.
