Jon, Guitar, Bass Guitar and Drums Tutor
Jon has built up lots of tutor experience having been teaching guitar, bass guitar and drums in West Sussex since 2005. He has taught pupils from age 7 to 77! His love affair with music started when he was just ten years old, initially learning to play the guitar, swiftly followed by bass guitar and drums.
Having gigged in bands for over 20 years, Jon has played most styles of music including rock, blues, country, acoustic, folk and funk. With over a thousand live performances under his belt, Jon is well placed to help the next generation of musicians achieve their musical aspirations.
Jon’s approach to tutoring is relaxed and patient, letting the students lead the way towards their dreams and goals. He sees his role as a facilitator, giving his pupils the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in that journey.
Time spent at BIMM focussing on the bass guitar and singer-songwriting skills gives Jon additional skills to draw upon and share in his tutoring.
Jon’s musical influences include Foo Fighters, Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins, Jack Johnson and anything with a fantastic rhythm and groove!
