Jane, Academic Tutor

Jane gained a BA Honours Primary Education degree from the University of Brighton in 2006 and has beenteaching ever since. She has experience throughout the full primary age range including Maths and English in upper Key Stage 2 in preparation for year 6 tests, including SATs. She has been able to focus on specific areas of challenge and has helped children develop confidence and resilience alongside specific skills

She has benefited from extensive recent professional development and specialism training. 

In addition to class teaching, Jane was previously an assessment co-lead, mathematics leader, Early Years and Key Stage One leader.  

She has several years experience of teaching Year 2 children and preparing them for KS1 SATs, and providing teacher assessments for end of Key Stage One and Reception. Throughout her teaching career, Jane has taught children with specific learning difficulties, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and children requiring additional challenges. 

Jane enjoys the opportunity to tailor fun, educational activities to address the needs of individual children and watch their resilience and confidence grow.
