Amanda, Academic Tutor

Amanda is a qualified Primary school teacher and has taught children from EYFS to Year 7 in the classroom and one to one settings. She also has experience of working with children with additional needs.

When her eldest daughter became very unwell and was unable to attend school full time, Amanda spent time supporting her education throughout KS2, KS3 and her GCSE years.

Amanda understands that all children are individuals and recognises the importance of adapting teaching styles to suit the needs of the pupil. She believes in making learning fun and creative. Amanda recognises the value extra tuition can bring to children allowing them to build confidence in a 1:1 setting.

Amanda lives with her husband and the youngest of their three daughters. Her eldest is studying for a masters degree in Biomedical Science and her 18 year old is studying a degree at Ballet School. She loves to bake and go on walks with their labradoodle Boba.
