Matt, Drum Tutor
Matt is an experienced drum tutor, who offers lessons from his studio in Kent and online via Zoom. He studied at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute between 2012 and 2015. Matt went on to become a drum tutor at the Sussex Academy of Music until he moved to Kent where he taught at Right Track Music and in schools across the county.
Matt’s career highlights include supporting The Cure in Mexico, recording at BBC Maida Vale studios, gaining airplay on BBC Radio 1, having tracks featured on TV, and performing at some of the UK’s biggest festivals including Glastonbury, T in the Park and Bestival.
Matt also performs with bands and has played many shows across the UK, Europe and further afield. Most recently, Matt performed with Violet Vendetta in Mexico supporting legendary British band The Cure. He is a former touring member of many other bands across a variety of styles.

I am incredibly passionate and about teaching. I love showing my students exactly why the drums are the best and most exciting instrument in the world! I aim to get my students playing a long to music as soon as possible to help them develop into well-rounded musicians and see where it can take them.
As with all our tutors, Matt is fully DBS certified.
