Julie, Academic and Art Tutor

Julie has been a teacher since 2009, with experience of working in both private and the state sectors. She has worked with children in KS1, KS2 and has experience of working with SEN children across primary and secondary schools.

Julie has also taught undergraduates at the University of Brighton, sharing her knowledge and passion for art and helping them to incorporate these skills in their own teaching careers. She has spent a number of years as Head of Art in a local independent school and particularly enjoys planning a creative curriculum. As part of her role at the independent school she also ran the art scholarship program.

Julie is successful in tailoring the lessons to meet the individual needs of the child. She plans creative activities to help engage, spark, and foster a love for learning.

WHAT WE THINK ABOUT JULIE

Julie is an extremely creative teacher, with a gentle and calm approach to her lessons.  Being a mum of three lively boys she is very organised and understands a child's school journey from not only a teacher’s perspective, but a parent’s one too.  She sees each of her pupils as individuals and works hard to give them bespoke learning experiences that harness confidence and support progress.

As with all our tutors, Julie is fully DBS certified.
