Jade, Academic Tutor
Jade grew up in Devon and when she finished school, went on to complete a Hons degree in Environmental Science. She then went on to work as a plankton taxonomist before deciding to go back to University to study for a Masters in Sustainable Environmental Management. Upon completion of this she then studied for her PGCE in Secondary Science with a Chemistry specialism.
Jade has been teaching for over 15 years. She moved to Sussex in 2011 when she joined the teaching team at Ardingly College as Head of Science in the Prep School and later a boarding mistress.
Jade has always loved to bake and her classes have often been on the receiving end of some of her wonderful sweet treats (as have a few work colleagues). She loves being creative with her teaching and even managed to rope matron and a few of her pupils into knitting her the entire digestive system to aid her teaching!
Whilst continuing to work in school and tutor, Jade is also a mum to three young enthusiastic scientists, who love nothing more than getting messy, baking, hatching chicks and seeing what Dr Ranj has to say on CBeebies.
