Tom Blunt, Drum Tutor
Tom is a professional musician based in West Sussex and has been playing the drum kit for over a decade. Having been put forward for lessons when starting secondary school, Tom quickly established a great love for the instrument, spending hours each day after school working out songs by ear in his parents’ garage.
The past five years have seen him performing professionally both on stage and in the studio with artists and bands alike - covering a multitude of genres from rock to electronic dance at major festivals such as Victorious Festival, and in prestigious studios such as Europe’s no. 1 independent recording studio, Metropolis in London.
Tom has been fortunate enough to study with some of the greatest drummers the UK has to offer, both privately and during his time at The Academy of Contemporary Music, where he obtained a first class honours in Music Performance. Tutors include George Cook (Eminem, Marika Hackman, Birdy), Ben Matthews (Bruno Mars, Newton Faulkner, Jason Mraz), and Tom Nichol (George Harrison, Art Garfunkel, Cliff Richard) to name just a few.
Tom feels passionate about igniting his pupils’ love for the drums at a young age so that they can explore the instrument with confidence and enthusiasm.
