SATs Tuition and Booster Sessions Across East and West Sussex

Want to help your Year 6 child approach the SATs with confidence?

** We are now taking bookings for the Easter 2019 holiday! **

Discover and Be's SATs booster sessions will help your child approach the Year 6 SATs feeling calm and informed. These sessions are delivered in an engaging and fun way to prepare the children for the tests and reduce any nerves or anxiety.

My son Oliver has attended two Discover and Be SATs boosters and had a handful of private tuition sessions with Sheila and his confidence and ability has soared. Sheila is a calm, confident teacher and helps children focus and enjoy learning. A huge help with our exam preparation!

We provide three sessions in the holidays preceding the SATs. This will generally include:

  • 3 sessions of English comprehension

  • 3 sessions of maths

  • 2 sessions of grammar, spelling and punctuation

  • Exam techniques

  • Exposure to the format of SATs

We are pleased to be offering SATs booster sessions this Easter holiday; please call Sheila on 07980 565 632 to find out more or complete the form on this page.

The sessions will include going through past papers, exam technique and the skills and knowledge required for SATs, in a fun and interactive way. For example, back by popular demand, we will be playing ‘Grammar Twister’; writing songs and raps; taking part in word, spelling and number games; creating posters and presenting/ sharing knowledge with our peers. We keep our ratio of staff to children high so that each child has access to individual attention.  This gives the children the opportunity to be supported and stretched at their own level.  This course is suitable for all abilities. It’s also a chance for the children to make new friends as they begin the process of moving on to their secondary schools.

After the course you, the parents, will also receive an email containing a concise report of your child’s progress so that you know how to help them move forward and continue to prepare for their SATs.

Sheila was my tutor leading up to my entrance exams and SATS. I really like Sheila, she explained things slowly and helped me when I didn’t understand things. We always had fun in the lesson too. She helped me to understand fractions which I was really stuck on. I would recommend having Sheila as your tutor because she will help you understand and also have fun too!
