Multisensory Play Sessions for Parent & Child Across East and West Sussex
(6 months - 4 years)
We run multisensory play sessions for you and your child in three venues: Haywards Heath, Newick, and Cuckfield. We also run one-off events in school holidays; sign up to our newsletter to receive details of the next one.
We are now fully booked for the September term in Haywards Heath and Cuckfield, but have a few spaces available in Newick.
Our classes are packed with creative, hands-on learning experiences, music and movement, imaginative play and expressive messy play.
Sessions are themed and carefully designed to empower you and your child, as you discover a world of development in a fun and creative way, together.
We look forward to meeting you both soon and we hope that our holistic and informal approach will enable you to feel welcome, included and inspired.
How do our parent and child sessions work?
Timing of the session
Our Parent and Child sessions run for 1 hour and we use the time (approximately) as follows:
0:00 to 0:25: Explore activities together (let your child be your guide!).
0:25 to 0:35: Circle time - teacher led (storytelling, puppet role play, parachute games etc).
0:35 to 0:45: Play time / grab a snack. Tidy up song.
0:45 to 1:00: Music and movement circle time - teacher led.
What do we do when we come into a session?
As soon as you come in, you and your child can explore the different activity stations at your own pace. Look out for our activity cards displayed next to each station, feel free to ask us questions but, above all, just get stuck in!
Please remember to sign the signing in sheet each week (this will be near the tea/coffee).
All of our sessions include some sort of messy play, so do come dressed in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. We have aprons available around the room at each session so either help yourself to one or ask a session leader.
How will the activities be planned?
The activities will be planned around a theme each week. These themes might include Under the Sea, dinosaurs or a topical event such as Halloween or Diwali.
How do we know when it’s drinks / snacks time?
You are welcome to help yourself to a drink for you and your child at any time. There are a few travel mugs provided for those who want to wander around with their cuppas! A snack will be provided mid session.
What are the activity cards for?
The activity cards provide prompts on how you might like to use the activity. We also suggest questions you can ask in order to enrich your child’s learning experience.
How much are the sessions and how do I book?
All our sessions are pre-booked on a half termly basis. That means you get an excellent rate per class.
