Our Team
Discover & Be was founded in 2015 by Rhiannon Harman and Sheila Datoo, two experienced primary teachers. They now work with a team of expert academic and music education specialists, and you can find out about each member of the Discover & Be team by reading their profile below. We have a particular approach to how we believe children should be educated, and you can read more about this philosophy here.
As well as private academic and music tuition for primary-aged children across Sussex, we also have Key Stage 3 tutors whose expertise spans into Secondary school education, and those who have experience teaching A-level students as well as adult learners.

Sheila Datoo
Co-founder & Academic Co-ordinator
Having had an extensive and varied career in both the commercial world and then education, Sheila now co-ordinates Discover & Be's academic tuition, drawing on her experience in both the the state and private sectors of education. Sheila has taught all years from Reception to Year 6, including SATs tuition.

Rhiannon Harman
Co-founder and Music Co-ordinator
With over 17 year's experience as a music teacher, Rhiannon puts her extensive skills and knowledge into practice as Discover & Be's Music Co-ordinator. Specialising in primary music teaching and performing arts, Rhiannon teaches flute, piano, ukulele, recorder and voice on a one-to-one basis, as well as song-writing.
